The purpose of this study is to present an integrated framework for assessment and ranking of 23 Iranian industrial sectors, based on several productivity indicators during the years 80 to 85. The integrated approach of this study is based on "principal component analysis" (PCA).The validity of the model is verified and validated by numerical "taxonomy". Furthermore, the non- parametric correlation methods, namely, Kendall-Tau correlation experiments shows high level of correlation between the findings of PCA and “taxonomy” and the approach of this study may be used to assess the importance of each of the selected indicators for industrial units of interest. It is observed that the sectors: "Coke, refined petroleum products" (code 23), " Chemicals and chemical products"(code 24), and " Basic metals" (code 27), have the three top grades in the ranking while the sectors:" Wearing apparel, fur" (code 18), "Textiles" (code 17) and "Furniture, manufacturing" (code 36) have the weakest grades in the ranking. Furthermore, the most important productivity indicators are: Value added to salaries and wages- value added per employee-value added to energy cost- production value per employee-production value to salaries and wages and value added to total input. In this modern world, considering expansion of competition and lack of resources, everybody knows the importance of measuring of productivity and decomposition of it. Although assigned about 2.8% of value added and 8.5% of employment of large manufacturing industries, the textile industry has not respected more attention. The main goal of this paper is measuring and analyzing of individual and total factor productivity in textile manufacturing industries during period of 1994-2007. For this purpose, after extraction of production factors (labor, capital stock, material and energy), it is measured individual productivity indexes in form of quotient of value added and each of production factors. It is also computed total factor productivity via divisia index and Tornqvist function. The results show that labor productivity has grown annually 4.4% because of labor decrease especially in large firms. However capital productivity has decreased less in the studying period. On the other hand, productivity of electricity consumption and material has decreased annually 1.7% and 1.9% respectively. Total factor productivity index has grown annually 0.6% in average and this improvement mainly has achieved via labor productivity. The econometric model for decomposition of total factor productivity in the textile manufacturing industries has confirmed the positive impacts of production values, per capita wages, percentage of small firms and government expenditures. It has also confirmed the negative impacts of foreign material dependency and working only in expert field. Manuscript profile

Abstract Despite the intense competitions to increase the quality, live up to the expectations of the customers, and decrease the costs, nowadays manufacturers need to design and make products in which customer’s real emotions and feelings should be taken into account. Paying due attention to customer’s feelings about the product, Kansei engineering is one of the most appropriate methods to improve the quality of product and customer’s satisfaction. In addition to introducing Kansei engineering and its relevant techniques, this paper was aimed at translating feelings and emotional impacts on the design parameters. Reviewing the literature through interviewing Merident Toothpaste customers, 83 Kansei words representing customer’s feelings about the product were identified. After screening, 23 words influencing customer’s feelings were divided into three parts including natural features, apparel ones, and controllable factors in order to obtain more rational coefficients of importance in ANP method. Using ANP and DIMATEL methods, then the Kansei words were graded by the experts of organization; consequently, natural features were considered more important. Employing ANP method in the next step, Merident Toothpaste was compared with the similar products manufactured by 3 main competitors to investigate the advantages and disadvantages with respect to the opinions of customers. Eventually, the final weight and importance of criteria were determined. Manuscript profile

This study is aimed at investigating the role of Organizational Culture in Manager’s Inclination toward Accepting the Green Production Technology. Using simple randomization of administerial and executive staff, a population of 115 Iranian casting industry experts, administrators, and managers in the year 2015 was selected for the present study. The size of the sample required in this study was 88 according to Cochran’s formula and, a sample of 90 members was examined investigated based on Krejcie and Morgan Table. The data were analyzed using structural equations. Attending to the non-normal distribution of the data as indicated by Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, a non-parametric test was used to analyze the relationships. Combined reliability, internal consistency, and internal validity of the model, as well as the predictive validity at construct level, were proved during data analysis. Positive values of the CV Com index were suggestive of the high quality of the model. Finally, the GOF index was found to be 0.723. Considering 0.1, 0.25, and 0.36, proposed as weak, moderate, and strong values for the GOF index respectively, the obtained value of 0.723 indicates the overall appropriateness and good practice of the model and stands in a strong point on a weak-strong continuum. Based on the findings of this study, organizational culture has a direct impact on the acceptance of the Green Production Technology. Manuscript profile

The production sector has come under severe pressure to both cope with its problems and maintain competitiveness, by such factors as diminishing natural resources, climate change, worsening environmental pollution, ecological incompatibility of the industrial age activities with the environment, and the decline in quality of human life due to the increasing global industrialization. Meanwhile, sustainability, especially in production, and progress towards sustainable production have grown in importance for developed countries aiming to overcome their challenges for a sustainable development. Sustainability is an increasingly significant need for human activities, and achieving a sustainable development has turned into a major priority for human development. Sustainable development is a landscape that simultaneously targets social, economic, and environmental issues in general within the process of development. Meanwhile, the concept of sustainable production, which is intertwined with the concept of sustainable development, targets manufacturing companies and service providers. This study is focused on sustainability of manufacturing businesses, aiming to both identify sustainable production constructs, and evaluate and classify programs that can play a more effective role in this regard. First, dimensions and constructs of sustainable production were identified through interviews and relying on repertory grid technique, from the viewpoint of 33 managers in successful industrial production companies with at least five consecutive and sustainable years of activity across Semnan Province in Iran. Then 33 personal repertory grids and a total of 175 primary personal constructs were elicited for sustainable production. These constructs were explored and analyzed, and an aggregated grid consisting of 87 secondary constructs was drawn. Next, using principal component analysis (PCA), the principal constructs contributing to sustainable production were categorized into two major concepts and their components were determined Manuscript profile

Network of collaborators is the most important approach of organizations in CoPS R&D projects conduction as completing such projects requires specific resources and is beyond the capabilities of a single organization. Obviously the capabilities of the network of collaborators have a significant role in mentioned collaboration. So in this paper fundamental indicator of those capabilities were firstly specified by literature review. Secondly final indicators were selected using survey of experts of a CoPS producing company. Thirdly these indicators were classified in components by expert survey and using SEM in LISREL software. These components encompass collaborators competency (incorporating knowledge and skillfulness, keeping up to date, complying to standards and financial ability), task performance capability (incorporating project quality, time and responsibility during and after project completion) and adaptability (incorporating accordance to values, time and flexibility in deliverables). The results of hypothesis tests illustrate that competency has a significant and positive impact on task performance and the latter has a similar impact on adaptability but there is no direct and significant correlation between competency and adaptability while there exists an indirect one. Regarding the importance of CoPS in providing the organization with technological capability and the differences existing between these systems and mass products, it is essential to develop a model to collaborate on CoPS R&D. Exploitation of the capabilities of the network of collaborators is a desirable option due to inability of the organization in providing the resources comprising finance, human, facilities and expertise. Reviewing the literature on CoPS and technological collaboration incorporating the kind and motivations of collaborators and organizational forms of collaboration and interviewing 18 experts of the organization, a model was developed based on TRL approach and fuzzy cognitive mapping tool. Considering the model developed, the steps of project is classified into 3 categories: Green(able to be collaborated in network), Yellow (able to be collaborated on condition) and red (unable to be collaborated). The role of the members of the network and the strategy of collaborating with them is specified as follows: R&D contract with universities and consulting agents, Educational acquisition with faculty members, outsourcing the projects intended as military service compensation, and R&D contract or research funding with knowledge-based institutions. On the other hand, the position of technology developing and designing centers is specified employing the national innovation system as an upper hand document. Validity of model is proven by checklist of good theories. Manuscript profile

Public spending is a necessary requirement in every state for doing its tasks in the areas of education, health, security, and defense. How to spend on these expenditures can, directly and indirectly, impact the productivity of human resource. This paper seeks to examine the proportion of these expenditures together and their impact on the productivity of human resource. This study was conducted during the period 1990 to 2015 and the generalized least squares and Granger causality method was used to investigate the effect of public expenditure. The results of the causality test showed that there is a one-way causal relationship between educational expenditures and health expenditures and there is no causal relationship between military expenditures and human resource productivity. On the other hand, the results of the model's estimation indicate that the health and military expenditures don't effect on human resource productivity, which indicates the health expenditures are not properly spent by the government and military expenditures don't have the role of complementary or competing for two other components of public expenditure. How incumbents benefit from advanced technologies has played an important role in the management literature. Industrial companies, in spite of certain advantages in the resources, experience and market knowledge, need to use advanced technology to increase their competitive advantages. Yet very little research has explained how incumbents collaborate with new nanotechnology based firms in order to develop new nano products. The study focuses on longitudinal six-year case studies of five collaborations between incumbents and new nanotechnology based firms. The contribution of this research is available in three parts. First, the benefit of incumbents from the nanotechnology requires a long-term extensive and interactive process, based on the synergy of technological capabilities of the new nanotechnology firms and the incumbents’ resources and capabilities. Second, the incumbents must have flexibility in their structures and collaboration’s strategies. Third, the role of the incumbents changes from a "technology taker" at the start of the collaboration to "new product development mentor" and then becomes a high-tech product / service buyer after clarifying the dimensions of technology and product innovation. This study provides a worthy illustration of these collaborations for researchers, managers and policymakers. Manuscript profile

The purpose of the present study is to provide a model for creating the superior value proposition through strategic focus on designing a unique marketing strategy for the company. In this regard, the qualitative method of data theory of the foundation has been used. The statistical population of the present study is marketing professors and marketing activists of packaged food products. The interview method has been used to collect the required information. The results of qualitative data analysis with MAXQDA software show that functional value, value, interactional value and emotional value as the proposed company value, value of use and exchange value as dimensions of perceived customer value, customer satisfaction and loyalty The customer has been identified as the dimensions of the marketing outcomes and ultimately the volume of sales, market share, net profit and return on investment as aspects of the financial implications of the proposed firm's value. In addition, the outputs indicate that the company's proposed value in the number of code count and in terms of generalization and learning in the majority of respondents is a priority, which indicates the importance of this category. Afterwards, the financial, marketing, and perceived value of customers are ranked next. This suggests that in our country, the strategic perspective (value from the perspective of the company) among the food industry managers and marketing professors is more general than the marketing perspective. The first and most important step in managing the production of science in order to improve society's affairs and achieve scientific authority is to understand the exact problems of science production. Identification of problem has many complications. Problems with different interpretations are expressed and not related to the relationship between problems. As a result, many ambiguities and confusion arise. In this research, the Grounded theory is used to extract the problems of science production and the relationships between them, then by using paired comparisons, the relationship between problems is defined more precisely. Also, using the DEMATEL method, the effect size of the problems is apparent The achievement of this research is to identify the network of science production problems by explaining the 22 problems and the relationships between them. The problems of "university-community communication, research quality, research demand, and supply of research" have more interaction with other problems. The problems of "research supply, Brain Drain, quality of research, researcher motivation and research demand" are the most influential and the problems of "organizational management, intellectual property, attraction capacity, university-community communication and foreign trade" are most influential The achievement of this research is a network of general problems of science production, this network must be tailored to specific scientific disciplines and fields. Given the general nature of this research, the network of problems can be used as a guide for identifying the network of science production problems in specific cases (geographic regions or scientific disciplines). ICT plays an important role in accelerating economic growth, especially in today's age of the Internet and mobile telecommunications. Due to the upward trend in the use of information and communication technology in the countries of the world, this part of the economy demands a lot of attention. Improved policies due to the impact of information and communication technology on the economy are one of the top programs of governments in developed and developing countries.A review of the literature shows that few systematic studies have examined the role of information and communication technology in GDP growth and the impact of various variables on the role of information and communication technology has not been sufficiently studied. The present study uses systematic approach and system dynamics methodology and examine interactions of ICT variables including ICT access, ICT development, ICT usage etc. with macroeconomic variables such as GDP, total factor productivity, ICT Capital examines ICT's value-added share of GDP and so on and presents a conceptual model of the role of ICT in GDP growth. The qualitative model designed in this study can be the basis for future quantitative research and mathematical simulation with a systematic approach to information and communication technology and GDP. The present research aims at designing a comprehensive personal productivity assessment model for the personnel in the banking industry, which has been conducted with a combined (qualitative-quantitative) method. Objective sampling method has been employed for the research where a number of university elite and experts as well as managers of the banking industry were elected as samples. Semi-organized interviews and closed-ended questions were used as the first and second stages of data collection. The method of analysis in the qualitative section was inductive thematic analysis and in the quantitative section was structural equations modeling, and the results of the research in the qualitative section is indicative of identifying 377 meaningful concepts or propositions resulting from 110 interview texts; however, taking into account the notion of concentration, the meaningful concepts and propositions were reduced to 137 primary themes. Further on, 15 subsidiary themes and 3 levels of main themes were identified. For the quantitative section, a structural pattern was presented for the correlation among the components which depicted that from among the 15 components constituting the personal productivity of the personnel in the banking industry, the highest ratio belongs to social intelligence with the value of 0.82 and the lowest ratio goes for professional competency wit the value of 0.49 Manuscript profile

There is a difference in the technology development model between developing and developed countries. In developing countries, it commences with learning the technology from innovations takes place in developed ones. Thus, the driving engine of technology development in late countries is learning the technology instead of providing innovation; in the way that the core of activities, organizations and communications are all concentrating on learning. The combination of virtual and real world has created a concept named as Industry 4.0. Nowadays, the application of Industry 4.0 in different scopes is expanding; applying it there requires setting a roadmap. This research aims to propose a learning-based roadmap for the application of industry 4.0 (especially the Internet of Things) in the sale and distribution of healthcare products. Here, there has been used the learning-based roadmapping method, the process of which is explained in eight steps. Two groups of a distinct expert panel including the business industry and technology industry contributed to this research; the Delphi method has been used to guarantee the convergence. The paper’s result can be used as a pattern for deployment in other related fields and secondly guidance in the industry to estimate required funds in the sale and distribution of health care products.
